Quiet location, within walking distance of everywhere. It also was close to a bamboo forest and a park.

Guesthouse Kyoto Arashiyama served as an ideal base for a brief visit. the location was both convenient and comfortable, with a nearby convenience store just a short stroll away. Nestled in a local area, it offered the added advantage of being a quick walk to the tram station, making it easy to explore the surrounding attractions.

I enjoyed nice and sweet employees!
the hotel was traditional, spent my time lovely here. the venue had a comfortable location not very far from karst gallery. convenience stores and shops were right next door. no complains at all, the venue met expectations.

Stayed in beautiful a twin room with a separated kitchen, bathroom and bathtub. A shower, hairdryers, and bath sheets were very handy.

Rooms were cozy and incredibly comfortable, well done!
they gave us wheelchair accessible room with tatami mats, bathroom, tatami beds and that was essential. a microwave, an electric kettle, and a refrigerator were available. the place had a quiet atmosphere. location: the hotel was close enough to western kyoto, and a supermarket that closes at 2300 hrs kyoto time. café pichi pichi kingyo located 1 mi away was a nice surprise.

Guesthouse Kyoto Arashiyama offers an authentic experience in a residential area. the Japanese-style room is spacious, clean, and equipped with the essentials for cooking. It's conveniently located near temples and supermarkets, making it easy to explore local life. I felt at home and appreciated the welcoming atmosphere, especially the thoughtful tea gift when I left. the peaceful surroundings and proximity to attractions like Arashiyama Bamboo Forest made the stay even more enjoyable.
No complaints about my stay. Bus ride to attractions takes 30 minutes.

Had a great time during new year celebration! The room was cozy with traditional tatami flooring, and it even had a small kitchen which was handy. The owner was really helpful and friendly, making our stay more enjoyable. Location-wise, it was super easy to get to the Bamboo forest, and there was a tram nearby, along with JR and subway stations within a 15-minute walk. Loved the peaceful and quiet surroundings too!
There were some drawbacks. It was a bit disappointing that we couldn't find any plates in the kitchen, making it difficult to prepare our own meals.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
